A hands-on, fully equipped telecommunications certification lab — built in partnership with C-Tech Associates Inc. to move Philadelphia and Montgomery County residents into living-wage careers in fiber, broadband, and wireless.

Why the C-Tech Academy

Pennsylvania's $90B infrastructure investment needs trained technicians.

Statewide investment in AI infrastructure, broadband expansion, and energy modernization is creating thousands of jobs in telecommunications, fiber optics, network cabling, wireless systems, and broadband installation — careers that pay living wages and don't require a four-year degree.

The C-Tech Technology Academy exists to close the gap between that opportunity and the residents who have been historically excluded from it. This is not a classroom lecture program — it's a fully equipped, C-Tech-certified, hands-on laboratory delivered in our community, with the wraparound support our participants need to succeed.

Three differentiated tracks

A complete pipeline from early exploration to professional certification.

Track 1 — Communications Pathways Series (CPS)

Ages 12–15~70 hours

Introduction to telecommunications and STEM. Builds foundational knowledge of telecom systems, fiber optics, and green technology — preparing students for advanced tracks in high school and beyond.

Track 2 — Career & Technical Exploration (C-TEx)

Ages 16–17120 hours

Intermediate IT, fiber optics, and green tech. Hands-on work with real-world devices, tool proficiency, and workplace safety — core job skills essential for career entry.

Track 3 — Certified Broadband Training Program

Ages 18–25 (Adult Workforce Priority)210 hours

Five industry-recognized certifications earned. The full professional pipeline into telecom, fiber, copper, grounding, and wireless careers.

Built on a nationally validated curriculum

The same training that has certified 100,000+ telecom professionals.

C-Tech's Version 4.0 curriculum is used in correctional education facilities, community colleges, and workforce development programs across the United States. Fully equipped training kits bring professional-grade hardware — fiber fusion splicers, copper cabling trainers, wireless workstations — directly into the learning environment.

Every instructor is C-Tech-certified on the full v4.0 curriculum. Every participant receives an individual student kit and manual for each module completed.

Telecommunications Technologies

Foundational principles of modern telecom using the C-Tech v4.0 System Trainer Board. Students observe, configure, and troubleshoot real telecom components in real time.

Network Cabling — Copper Systems

Hands-on copper cable termination, testing, and installation to industry standards using professional-grade trainer kits.

Fiber Optics Network Cabling

Prep, terminate, inspect, and test fiber optic cables on etched student termination workstations — the same workflow used on the job.

Fiber Fusion Splicing

Work with professional fiber fusion splicers to join optical fibers with industry-standard precision and quality assurance.

Grounding & Bonding of Copper Systems

Safety-critical grounding and bonding practices for copper systems — protecting infrastructure, equipment, and technicians.

Coverage & Capacity Planning for Wireless

Wireless signal propagation, frequency bands, and network architecture using C-Tech Wireless Activity Workstations.
